Credits and usage
Master runs on AI credits. Here is how they are spent, refilled, and tracked.
What credits are
Every AI action in Master — generating code, editing design, creating images, or running tests — consumes a small amount of AI credits. Credits keep the platform transparent and let you control spending.
Monthly, bonus, and top-up credits
- Monthly credits are refilled on every billing cycle based on your plan.
- Bonus credits are granted for promotions, referrals, or special events.
- Top-up credits are purchased separately and added to your balance immediately.
Your total available balance is the sum of all three pools. Monthly credits are typically used first, followed by bonus and top-up credits.
What consumes credits
- Code generation and edits
- Image generation
- Browser and frontend tests
- AI planning and multi-step reasoning
- Voice transcription and embeddings
Lightweight operations like saving a file, publishing, or browsing your project do not consume credits.
Track your balance
The credit bar in the top-right of the editor shows your remaining balance in real time. Workspace owners can also view team-wide usage from workspace settings.
Top up credits
Click the credit bar in the editor and select Add credits. Choose a top-up pack and pay with your preferred card. Top-up credits never expire and are added on top of your existing balance.
